Have an AI ask you the questions

You can do all of this on the site, alone, and most people should. If you would rather be asked out loud, you can hand the exercise to an AI you already use and answer in a conversation instead.

It asks one question at a time, in your own words, and does not offer you advice. When something sounds like it might be close to the centre of you, it presses on it with the same three questions this site asks. The reading comes back from the site rather than from the AI, so you get the same answer you would have got here.

Setting it up takes a couple of minutes, once.

How it works

  1. You connect it onceYour AI is given one address, below. There is no account to make and nothing to sign in to.
  2. It reads the exercise and starts askingThe first thing it does is fetch the exercise in order, along with the rule that it asks rather than advises. You answer in the chat.
  3. It hands your work back as a linkAt the end it gives you a link to this site with your whole target inside it. Open it and the picture is drawn here, ready to download or carry on with.
  4. Or it picks up where you left offIf you have already started here, copy your code from this page and paste it into the chat. Your AI reads it and carries on from there rather than starting you again.

What changes if you do this

Everywhere else on this site, what you write stays in your browser. That does not change, and it stays true for everyone who never opens this page.

Connecting an AI is different, and you should know exactly how. What you say in that chat goes to whoever makes that AI, under their terms rather than ours. And when it looks something up here, whether that is a question to ask you or the reading on one of your answers, that request comes to this site.

This site does nothing with it. There is no account, no log of your answers and no database. Each request is answered and forgotten, and your work only ever exists in the chat and in the link you are handed at the end.

So it is a fair trade if you want to be asked out loud, and it is not one you have to make. The site asks you the same questions for free, and tells nobody.

The address

Whatever you use, this is the one thing it needs. It is the same for everybody, there is no key, and there is nothing to sign in to.

Claude

On a Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise account, in the browser or the desktop app.

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Click “Add custom connector” at the bottom.
  3. Paste the address in, and click Add.
  4. Start a chat and say: walk me through the exercise at itsame.ai.

Claude Code

In a terminal, on any plan that has it.

  1. claude mcp add --transport http itsame https://itsame.ai/api/mcp
  2. Then say: walk me through the exercise at itsame.ai.

ChatGPT

On a Business, Enterprise or Edu account, in the browser only.

  1. Open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and turn on developer mode.
  2. Add a new app, paste the address in, and let it scan for what the app can do.
  3. Start a chat and say: walk me through the exercise at itsame.ai.

This is the one that may not work for you. OpenAI has this behind developer mode and has been moving it, and on a Plus account there is nothing to turn on today. A Pro account can add connectors that only read, which is all this one does, but we have not been able to test that ourselves. If you cannot find the menu, that is why, and Claude is the surer route.

Anything else

Any assistant that can be pointed at a tool server over the web.

  1. Give it the address. There is no key and no sign-in.
  2. Then ask it to walk you through the exercise at itsame.ai.

If you have already started

You have not placed anything yet, so there is nothing to hand over. Start on the site or start in the chat, whichever you prefer. Either way you end up in the same place.

What it will and will not do

  • Asks, rather than tellsIt is instructed to put one question at a time and let you answer properly before naming anything. If it starts handing you conclusions, say so. That is not what it was given.
  • Uses your own wordsAnything that ends up on your target should be in your words rather than its own. It is told to read yours back to you rather than tidy them up.
  • Does not get to judge youThe reading on each thing comes from this site, from the same three questions and the same fixed answer. An AI connected here cannot talk itself into a kinder verdict, or a harsher one.
  • Cannot look anything up about youThere is nothing here to look up. It sees what you tell it in that chat, and nothing about your other answers or anybody else's.
